We find interesting things on the web every day. Unfortunately, web pages don’t always stay the same. Sometimes they can even disappear altogether. So if you stumble upon something you really want to save forever, I suggest saving it as a PDF. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can do so easily with Workflow for iOS.
Once you convert a file to PDF, you can store it in any app that supports PDFs. For example, Dropbox or iBooks. I do this frequently for longer form tips and tricks, as well as DIY projects.
For those not already familiar, Workflow lets you quickly automate tasks that would normally involve multiple apps or lots of steps in a single app. Using it you can do things like tweet your now playing song, cross-post photos between Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and much more. There are thousands of uses for Workflow. Saving web pages into PDFs is just one of them.

How to save a web page as a PDF with Workflow
When you find an interesting web page you want to save, follow these steps to save the page as a PDF:
- Tap on the Share button in Safari.
- Tap on Run Workflow (if you don’t see the Run Workflow option, make sure you have activated the Workflow action extension).
- Choose the Create PDF workflow you just installed previously.
- You’ll see a preview of it. You can then tap the Share button to save it to Dropbox, iBooks, or any other app that supports PDF files.
If you want, you can even substitute the Quick Look action within Workflow with a Save to Dropbox Folder action, or something similar.
