I received my Apple Watch 8 months ago, and am still wearing it every day. Apple’s made it easy to glance at the information you need without pulling out your iPhone, and one of the biggest selling points has been convenience.
With a strong focus on health, Apple Watch tries to make your workouts as enjoyable as possible. Apple allows you to store 2GB or 250 songs on the Watch, so you can listen to music while working out (without having to have your phone nearby). Just pair your Apple Watch with Bluetooth headphones, and you’re ready to go.
Here’s how to sync a playlist to the Apple Watch:
How to sync music to the Apple Watch
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone
- Tap on Music
- Tap on Synced Music
- Pick a playlist you want to sync with the Apple Watch. (You can only choose 1 playlist.)
Below Synced Music, there’s a section for Storage Limits. You can sync at most 2GB or 250 songs to your Watch. The songs will begin to sync when the Apple Watch is on a charger. Since you can only sync 1 playlist at a time, I suggest you create a new playlist (e.g: Workout) and put all the songs you’d like to listen to on it. Next, sync it to your Apple Watch using the steps above.
What’s your favorite feature of Apple Watch?
Whether you’re checking incoming notifications, glancing at your schedule, or even listening to music using the above tip, the Apple Watch makes it very convenient. What’s your favorite feature on Apple Watch? Let me know in the comments below!
The one other thing I’d suggest is don’t do this when you’re short of time – the sync takes ages. When I did it I think it took in excess of an hour to transfer around 100 songs
