Launch Center Pro has long been one of my favorite utility apps for iPhone. For those not familiar, LCP lests you create shortcuts not just to apps, but to actions themselves. Tweet photos a lot? One tap lets you attach your latest photos. Send frequent group messages to the same people? Launch Center Pro has you covered.
Even better, with version 2.5, you can now add all your shortcuts to Notification Center for even faster access. The update also adds support for over 100,000 different apps, making the possibility of what you can create with Launch Center Pro pretty much endless.
Once you’ve installed Launch Center Pro on your iPhone, you’ll need to do two things to see action shortcuts. The first, activate the shortcut under the Today View of Notification Center.
Lastly, just pick your favorite shortcuts for Launch Center Pro to show in Notification Center within the app.
- Tap on the settings icon inside the Launch Center Pro app.
- Choose Today Widget and start adding your favorites.
If you want a better way to get to common actions on your iPhone, I’d highly recommend giving Launch Center Pro a try. I currently use Launch Center Pro to tweet, text, write, Instagram, create tasks, and browse my favorite sites even faster.
Give it a try and let me know in the comments what your most used actions are so far!

Aside from being a “super folder” of apps/actions, is there much reason to use LCP now that Launcher and Workflow do many of the same things better? For example, Google Maps directions LCP action does not grab my current location and always give directions from my house regardless of where I am.
Sure. You could argue there’s quite a bit of overlap. I use Workflow for more automated “tasks” and LCP for more personal communication automations. I know I could probably set up some of the same in Workflow. I think LCP may be slightly easier to understand for those new to creating actions than Workflow. But that’s of course just my opinion. Both are great apps.
