
Apple has officially replaced the old Newsstand app with the new Apple News app on iOS 9. Unfortunately, if you live outside the United States like I do, you won’t see the Apple News app when you upgrade to iOS 9.
Apple will gradually be making its Apple News app available in other countries. But if you don’t want to wait until it officially becomes available in your country, there’s a workaround you can use to get it now:
How to get Apple News if you don’t live in the United States
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 9.
- Tap on General.
- Choose Language and Region.
- Change Region to United States and tap Done.
- Tap Continue on the pop-up to confirm the changes.
Once you close out of the Settings app you should now see the Apple News app on one of your Home screens.
