As the default browser on Mac, Apple has continued to update Safari with new features for every new macOS version. The latest features Apple have added to Safari include Picture-in-Picture videos, and integration with Apple Pay on the web to allow you to make seamless online purchases. However, there are several useful 3rd party extensions that will enhance your browsing experience while using Safari. Here’s my list:
NoMoreiTunes
By default, Safari will automatically open iTunes or the Mac App Store when you click an iTunes link. While it’s not the worst next step, I still prefer to preview these links in my browser, and not be taken out of the web browsing experience. NoMoreiTunes prevents iTunes and the Mac App Store from launching automatically.

AutoPagerize
If you can’t stand clicking on the ‘Next page’ link on websites, on search results, or in forums, then you should install this extension. Autopagerize will automatically load the next page when you reach the end of your current page. It lets you keep scrolling endlessly instead of clicking on ‘Next page’.

Ghostery
Ghostery is an extension that is designed to track scripts or ads from websites you visit. It gives you the ability to block or whitelist certain trackers of the websites you visit. This can help the web seem less creepy and help your browsing experience be more secure. If you want to get control of your privacy while browsing the internet, Ghostery is for you. You’ll be surprised how many trackers websites you visit employ.

1Password
My favorite password manager 1Password has a handy extension that you can use to sign into websites seamlessly. You can also create strong passwords and save them automatically. It’s handy when you need to sign up for web services and need a strong password. 1Password is one of the first apps many App Factor writers download when setting up a new device.

Pinboard

Pinboard is a fast and reliable bookmarking service. It’ll allow you to easily bookmark websites you visit by installing its extension. While it’s not actively developed anymore, you can still use the extension to quickly send websites to Pinboard. If you need faster access, you can set up a keyboard shortcut. My favorite features is I can save all opened tabs at once with this extension.
