
Find yourself looking up currency exchange rates often on your iPhone or iPad? iOS 9 just made this task much easier. Instead of launching a third-party app, you can just use the new Spotlight search to get exchange rates instantly!
iOS 9 tips: How to get latest currency exchange rates using Spotlight search
- Open Spotlight either by swiping down or to the left from the first Home screen.
- Type the currency exchange rates you want to look up. For example, 55 USD to IDR, or something else. You can use any amount you want.
- Spotlight will display the result and if you tap it, you’ll be brought to Safari and it will display the result from whatever search engine you have chosen as default in Settings.

Does it show the latest exchange rate. Also I assume if we don’t have internet connection or connectivity with service provider, it just show the last stored cache.
Yep! Should pull most up to date rates – and I think you’re correct – if you have no connection it will use the last rates it has on record.
