Quick tips: How to remove Prisma’s watermark

There are hundreds of apps on the App Store that’ll take your photos to a whole other level. From simple apps such as VSCO, where you can apply filters on your photos, to apps that “re-draw” your photos like Prisma. Prisma is a new photo editor on iOS which can turn your photos into little works of art.

If you haven’t heard of it before, Prisma uses a server-side neural network and machine learning to apply its filter on your photo. Using Prisma, you can make your recent selfie look like a painting from a master of art. Unlike most other photo editors which’ll save the photo filters locally on your device, Prisma processes your photo server-side. Because it has so much power running behind the scenes, it’s important to have a good internet connection while using the app to speed up the process of editing.

By default, Prisma will include its watermark on the bottom right of your edited photos. This has been annoying for some folks, and takes those works of art and brands them. Luckily, Prisma allows you to get rid of its watermark for free. Here’s how:

How to remove Prisma’s watermarks

1. Open Prisma
2. Tap on the gear/settings button at the top right to access Prisma’s settings
3. Once in settings, Toggle off Enable Watermarks

That’s it! There’s also a setting that lets you save your processed pictures automatically to the Camera Roll, and helpful time saver options when you want to experiment with all of the filters without saving them manually.

While Prisma isn’t the first photo editor that can turn your photos into art with a filter, what makes Prisma unique is the technology behind it that really makes your photos something interesting and the powerful way they get processed. Some users afraid of sending their pictures up to the cloud to be processed can rest easy, Prisma has been pretty open and honest in their privacy policy.
