One of the best feelings in the world is when you can hit Inbox Zero. When you’ve read everything for the day, and don’t have to worry about any other emails bugging you…until the next barrage of emails comes through.
From emails you want to get, to things you’ve never signed up for, your inbox can fill up very quickly, and one of the biggest offenders is the humble newsletter.
While there are a number of services and apps that offer the ability to unsubscribe from newsletters, now with iOS 10 you can do it right from within Apple’s native Mail app.
How to unsubscribe from mailing lists in iOS 10
- One inside the Mail app, tap on an email that you’d like to unsubscribe from
- If Mail deems it an unsubscribe-able email, you’ll notice a message at the top of your email that says “This message is from a mailing list“, and it’ll give you the option to tap Unsubscribe.
- You’ll be greeted with a dialog box that lets you know that Mail is going to send a message from your email address to unsubscribe from the list, as soon as you tap Unsubscribe again

What iOS 10 feature are you glad Apple included?
That’s it! Being able to unsubscribe from email lists right from within Apple’s native Mail app makes cleaning up your inbox easy. What’s your favorite feature that Apple included in iOS 10? Let me know in the comments section!

This isn’t as quick and easy as it seems. A lot of newsletter publishers require (sometimes multiple) checkboxes to be checked, and/or your e-mail adres to be entered for verification, before unsubscribing you from their list. The Mail-app does not do that for you.
I agree, it’s a band-aid, but may be helpful for some single topic newsletters. Have you checked out Unroll Me? That’s another great service for this type of thing.
The feature would. e better if it also blocked the sender automatically.
